The Tattoo
Acrylic and paper on polystyrene (2015) 71 x 137cm
With the help of an electric mill, I sank a mask into a polystyrene thick sheet and carved more shapes into it. No special meaning except the aesthetics. I wrote on the painting 'great anti-lope spotting' as it reminds me of the feeling of fleeting beauty: you catch a glimpse of a rare animal, realizing you are in touch with perfection and the second later it has disappeared.
