The Fox and the Parachutist

Acrylic, polystyrene, paper and mixed media on wood (2015) 120 x 89cm

The story that I told myself is one of a fox that lives in its den underground, receives a request to look after a child by a strange hybrid (man-cum-leopard-cum-horse), lives amidst mechanical insertions, informs its life to survival and keeps its bond with the territory; a Siamese moose floats in mid air, carries on its shoulder the church of a new religion, is anchored by alimentary tubes and steel cables; a parachutist who lives between heaven and earth and has no whatsoever attachment to things or places; a frame of past ties with KKK members and a plague doctor hovering in the distance; a tower with female shapes underground and phallic shapes above it, in quest for cryptogenic reproduction by digging new galleries and dwellings.
